Dubai Unveils New 700-Metre Bridge to Transform Nad Al Sheba Connectivity

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a major infrastructure project: the construction of a new 700-metre two-lane bridge connecting Dubai–Al Ain Road directly to Nad Al Sheba. This ambitious development is set to revolutionise travel in the area, reducing journey times by an impressive 83%, from six minutes down to just one minute.

Key features and benefits:

The bridge will accommodate up to 2,600 vehicles per hour, significantly easing congestion and improving traffic flow for approximately 30,000 residents in Nad Al Sheba and surrounding neighbourhoods.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025, with completion targeted for the end of 2026.

The project is a cornerstone of RTA’s broader strategy to enhance Dubai’s road infrastructure, supporting the city’s rapid growth and improving access to key residential and educational hubs.

Additional upgrades in the area include new roundabouts, improved internal roads and enhanced access to schools - measures that have already reduced travel delays by up to 60% in some locations.

This new bridge underscores Dubai’s commitment to building safer, faster, and more efficient roads, ensuring seamless mobility for residents and visitors alike.
