Dubai Launches AED 66 Taxi to Abu Dhabi
How it works
Booking a ride is simple and user-friendly. Passengers can use a dedicated mobile app or website to schedule their journey. The platform allows users to select their pick-up and drop-off locations, view available rides, and share the cost with other passengers heading in the same direction.
Prices start at AED 66 for four passengers and increases slightly for those travelling in smaller groups. Three passengers will cost AED 88 per person and two passengers will cost AED 132 per person.

Benefits beyond cost
Reduced traffic congestion: By encouraging shared rides, the service aims to decrease the number of cars on the road, easing traffic congestion between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Environmental impact: Fewer vehicles on the road contribute to lower emissions, supporting Dubai's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Enhanced connectivity: This new service improves connectivity between two of the UAE's most important cities, facilitating easier travel for business and leisure.
Social interaction: Sharing a ride provides an opportunity for social interaction, allowing passengers to meet new people and share experiences.
A response to growing demand
The launch of this service comes in response to the increasing number of people commuting between Dubai and Abu Dhabi for work, education, and tourism. As both cities continue to grow and attract visitors, the need for efficient transportation solutions has never been more critical.
Dubai’s transport authorities are optimistic that this initiative will not only meet the current demand but will also set a precedent for future intercity transportation projects.
