Dubai International Airport (DXB) Named World’s Busiest Hub for International Passengers

Dubai International Airport (DXB) has once again been crowned the world’s busiest airport for international passengers, welcoming over 92.3 million travelers in 2024 - a 6.1% increase from the previous year, according to the Airports Council International (ACI). This marks the eleventh consecutive year DXB has held this prestigious title, outpacing major global hubs like London Heathrow and Seoul Incheon.

While Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson remains the busiest airport overall when combining domestic and international traffic, DXB leads globally in international passenger numbers, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a premier global aviation hub. Additionally, DXB has climbed the ranks in cargo traffic, moving from 17th to 11th place, underscoring its growing importance in global trade.

This achievement highlights Dubai’s strategic position as a gateway between East and West, supported by world-class infrastructure, connectivity, and a thriving tourism and business environment. The airport’s continuous growth reflects the resilience and dynamism of the aviation sector in the region.
